UK Politics Simulator (UKPolSim) is an emergent political simulation game that lets you map a career through the British political system. Players can begin in local government, contest elections, navigate parliamentary dynamics, and ultimately aim for the highest offices in national politics.
The game emphasises systems-driven simulation, with thousands of autonomous actors and real-world data informing voter behaviour, campaigns, legislative dynamics, and political negotiation.
UKPolSim is currently in active development and not yet released to the public. A Steam wishlist page is available and the developer is engaging the community through Reddit and Discord as the game’s evolution continues.
This wiki describes the game as it currently stands. Some features are confirmed, some are planned, and some represent design intent rather than final behaviour. Pages will make this clear where relevant.
UKPolSim models an open-ended political career rather than a fixed progression path. Players operate within the UK political system, choosing how to pursue influence over time, whether through elections, party politics, government roles, or longer-term strategic positioning.
There is no single “correct” route or end point. Careers develop dynamically based on decisions, opportunities, relationships, and systemic pressures, in a way closer to a management simulation than a scripted campaign.
Every playthrough is unique, with different emergent events and outcomes based on player decisions and system interactions.
